FAQ

Is the food container dishwasher safe?

Yes. You can place the container in the top rack of your dishwasher.

Can I take out the silicone gasket and valve for cleaning purposes?

Yes, the silicone gasket and valve may be removed for cleaning when necessary. Please DO NOT use sharp objects to remove the silicone valve or gasket.

Is the plastic pump dishwasher safe?

NO. The pump should only be washed by hand. Please DO NOT use abrasive cleaners or scrubbers.

How do I use the pump?

To remove air, place the vacuum pump directly over the silicone valve on the container lid. Lift the pump handle up and down until the wall & lid of the container are slightly indented. This indicates that air has been removed. Please DO NOT pump out more air than necessary. Removing too much air from the container can alter the shape and may cause the container to warp after storage.

Why can’t I open my container lid?

When the air pressure inside the box is lower than outside, the container can sometimes be very difficult to open. Please push the centre valve button down and release the air pressure until air stops flowing through the valve. Then, unlock the side tabs and lift the container lid.

How much should I pump to remove the air?

While removing air from the container with the pump, you can visually see the wall & lid of the container move inwards. This is an indication that air has been removed. Removing too much air from the container can alter the shape and may cause the container to warp after storage. In order to maintain the performance of the container, we recommend not to pump more than 7 times for the 200ml & 600ml container, and not to pump more than 10 times for the 1L, 1.2L, 1.4L and 1.5L container.

If you face difficulties opening the lid due to underpressure, please push the centre valve button down and release the air pressure until air stops flowing through the valve. Then, unlock side tabs and lift the container lid. Please use care when removing the container after microwaving as it may become hot. To prevent hot steam from burning your skin, please never try to release pressure by pulling the rim of the valve.

Can I use plastic wrap to cover the container during microwave use?
